Well at first I didn’t like the guy, but now I hate him. Just kidding. Lore is quickly becoming a good friend. We did have a great time in the town together. I even saw Big Daddy give Lore a pat on the shoulder once I think. This guy who we used to hate has come to be so much more. All it took was giving us some space and playing a few games. I was upset though that his first game was a bit too short. Only a day to do it? Little Sister likes to make her quarry wait and think in anticipation. It is all good though.
When we were staying in this weird inn, some ogres attacked our new friend. This made Big Daddy and me quite upset. It was a good thing we made quick work out of them with the help of a darky and a spider. I don’t know who these people are but I am glad they helped out. After the fight though it turns out it was the innkeepers family. They must be were-ogres. I have never heard of such an abomination before, but we needed to stop it. None shall live. I interrogated the last ogre and she gave knowledge of a safe. So Big Daddy and I went down to check on it. As we did I gave Daddy the instructions that I must not be interrupted. There could be traps and well you know the rest. Alas when the spider showed up, he decided he would not have any of this. That spider lacks patience. I am glad for his help, but that does not make him my friend. While I disarmed the traps I heard fighting going on after the spider refused to leave. I finally got the safe open and was looking inside when I heard Lore. At first I did not want him to enter, but I wanted him to help Big Daddy so I asked him to help. When Lore could not find the spider I came out to assist, but he vanished in thin air. That tricky spider is up to something I tell you.
After a few more minutes we cleared out the vault. We headed to the carriage driver and saw Darky standing there. I was grateful fore his help and the fact that he did not encroach upon our space. I told Big Daddy to give him the smaller more valuable painting in return for this. This was when he revealed that the Baroness had sent him and Fenril confirmed it. This guy might be a good asset to our group. I will have to talk with him sometime when we are in a more secluded area, with Big Daddy of course. Everything seemed to be going good and we were headed to our next destination. Only one thing was left. We needed to find a new owner for this inn. As I went to the crowd of patrons, I proposed new ownership of the establishment. Unfortunately no one said yes, so Lore decided to give it a try. Next thing I know Lore stumbles back and claims he is poisoned before passing out. I looked around to see who had done this, but most people continued packing up and leaving. The darky tried to help him out first, followed by Big Daddy and myself. Then this small devil looking thing appears out of nowhere claiming he can help for a price. Who does this creature thinks he is? For all I know he could be the one that poisoned him and is some kind of scam artist. He continues by saying that his goal is to see that we succeed in our quests and our goals. What the hell is he talking about? If he was supporting Lore’s goal would he really want to not save him? This creature has the audacity to lie to us in the same breath. I kept an eye on this creature and the dark one called the imp out on it a bit. The imp just ignored this and continued on with his speech, but Big Daddy showed him the seriousness of the situation. After some less than subtle influence the creature started to help as well, but then Big Daddy took over and I started helping him out. Lore came to for a second, but only enough to give us a description of the attacker. We continued to work on Lore till we knew he would survive this nasty poison. Then we left him be on the carriage.
The imp then continued to go on about all these contracts that he has. I caught him in his dissonance and he continued on the attack against me. I demanded he showed proof that he was with us or he should leave for his own sake. I know I could not continue to hold Big Daddy back much longer as rage filled him. Again his speeches and contracts continue to insult us. Today we kill this devil lest he flees for his life.
